I came to her with new onset of hip pain that was likely the result of several years of compensatory movement patterns involving several joints and muscle groups in my body. She attended to all of them and prescribed an effective home exercise program without completely overwhelming me. This was my second time going through PT, but my first time having a one-on-one experience like this. My outcomes, my understanding of what was going on in my body, and my motivation to follow through were so much better this time. As an occupational therapist, I deeply understand the limitations and barriers that can come with busy traditional outpatient clinic settings.
